May 2007 - Rwanda Storm Water Drainage management and Erosion Control for Kigali City The PIGU is a urban project cofinanced by the World Bank and the Nordic Fund. The fund is aimed at resolving the problems of erosion in the city of Kigali as well as the improvement of drainage infrastructure and management. The aim of the project is to design a first investment package, to review the masterplan of rainwater sewage of Kigali and to propose a  middle term plan of investment for (2010). In association with Norplan and CCC, Hydroconseil provided the following services : Institutionnal analysis of stakeholders acting in the sector, analysis of the legal context and of the needs for capacity building (emergency phase and action plan); Impact study of drainage projects and analysis of studies related to erosion in particular in slum areas; Design studies of facilities to realise for the project (feasibility study, first draft plan and preparation of the request for proposal).
